Scrapies Requirements for fairs

All sheep and goats must be identified to be incompliance with the USDA scrapies program.
Identification can be:

1. USDA official scrapies tag in animal's ear
2. Scrapie tag number tattooed in ear, flank or tail (but tag must also be carried with the animal)
3. USDA Scrapie Flock Certification Program Identification
4. USDA approved breed association tattoo. (breed registration certificate must be with animal)
5. Pygmy goats registered with NPGA may use microchips (both registration papers and scanner must be with animal)

Please make sure all members are aware of these requirements before they go to the fair.
