Hogs at Fairs

There has been recent concern surrounding a very small outbreak of PRV in transitional swine facilities in north east Michigan. This does NOT affect our 4-H program here in Ottawa County. All of our hog shows are terminal shows which means all hogs that leave the fair grounds go to market. We do not need to have hogs tested at this time. Any hog that comes to the fair and does not make weight MUST go to market. It cannot go back to the farm or to any other farm.
